Spirit of Christmas Fair
This wonderful fair is always the first one to hit our calendars and this year is no exception. Taking place from 29 October until 4 November at Olympia London (nearest overground station: Kensington Olympia, nearest tube station: Baron's Court), Spirit of Christmas Fair, is one of the bigger events and it's a fantastic one to start the season with. The only thing I always have to be careful of is that I don't do all of my Christmas shopping at once here as there are plenty of other opportunities before 25 December (but oh my, the temptation!). At the seasonal shopping event you'll find a collection of independent boutiques and designer-makers with over 825 to choose from. Favourites will be returning as well as 200 brand new arrivals. I'm also a big fan of their winter workshops and food hall. And, bonus, with your ticket you can also pop into the Luxury Travel Fair and the Winter Art and Antiques Fair next door for free! An adult ticket to the Spirit of Christmas Fair starts at £20.50 for one day or £28 for unlimited entry. You can buy tickets here.Country Living Christmas Fair
The next festive event on the calendar is the Country Living Christmas Fair, running from 7 to 11 November. Not as big as its peers, as it's being held at the Business Design Centre in Islington (nearest tube station: Angel), it's still packed to the brim with amazing gift exhibitors, food stalls and workshops. I've been going to this one for years and it's one of my absolute favourites (obviously, it's included in this post after all!). They definitely get the Country Living brand feel across with their choice of small business exhibitors who really get that cosy atmosphere the brand evokes. This year I'm particularly looking forward to workshops on Handmade Christmas Decorations with Caroline Cox, Advent Candle Table Decorations with Sara Ward and making a Hand-Stamped Winter Tote Bag with Yve Grady-Crewes. Adult tickets start from £15 and can be bought here.Ideal Home Show at Christmas
Last but certainly not least is arguable the biggest fair of them all this season: the festively themed Ideal Home Show one. It also sets up shop in Olympia London but this time around from 21 until 25 November, so cutting it quite close to Christmas. This is kind of perfect though, as it is absolutely packed with lots of foodie related exhibitors and so is perfect to pick up some last-minute essentials for your own seasonal spread. This fair isn't quite as cosy as the others in this post but what it lacks in atmosphere it more than makes up for in sheer size and with some other cool features a well. For example there are musical performances on the band stand, delicious restaurants on site, and lots of great talks. Tickets start at £13 for adults and can be bought from the official website here.* * * Win tickets to the Spirit of Christmas Fair * * *
